The Apprenticeship career pathway is 1 year/2000 hours competency-based.
The first 300 hours of Related Training Instruction is not-paid and is self-paced.
You must first complete the RTI-300 hours and complete your certifications (typically finished in 3-4 months).
Upon completion of the initial RTI-300 hours, you will complete a job preparedness training - aligned with employers, and begin the interview process for on the job training.
You will earn stackable certifications during your RTI-300 hours, in preparation for your on-the-job learning.
Your wages will be paid by the employer for on the job training.
The probationary period is 300-500 hours, depending on the occupation, and is enclosed in the Apprenticeship Agreement.

Earn credit toward a college degree! Get Certified & Get Your Journeyman Card! Your enrollment in multiple certificates is eligible for college credit towards college degrees.
If you complete a certificate and are admitted into the program, you can transfer your credit.¹
¹Each university determines the number of pre-approved prior learning credits that may count towards the degree requirements according to institutional policies.
A high school diploma or GED is not required for this occupation. If the particpant elects to enroll in a degree granting institution of higher education, a high school diploma or GED is usually required.
If a high school diploma or GED is required, dual enrollment in the Apprenticeship program is permissible, while enrolled in a GED or high school diploma program. WIN will assist with dual enrollment in a high school or GED diploma program.
